質問 Is it possible to install other than the standard stylus? Please tell me about length and size.
答え Other than the standard stylus can be installed. However, the point finder series and the centering gauge swing type can not be mixed because the size of the screw hole of the stylus is different. The external contact type point finder has a stylus of φ 6 x 40 mm as standard. Repeatability of ± 1 μm is guaranteed even if one with a length of 80 mm is attached. Standard products are not guaranteed any more. With special specifications, repeatability of ± 1 μm is guaranteed even if a 150 mm stylus is attached.

A point finder of the internal contact type has a stylus of φ 6 x 29 mm as standard. After the stylus touches the workpiece, the stylus will to deflect, then the internal contact will react and the LED will fire.

From this ,we need to compensate for the deflect. This value does not change. For details, it is written in the of FAQ 1.
